Reflecting on Progress and Looking Ahead

The first half of 2025 has been an exciting period of innovation and momentum for Neology. A few highlights are below:

neoTag™

Our neoTag line—compliant with 6C Coalition and E-ZPass Interagency Group standards—continues to evolve. These rugged RFID transponders feature real-time error correction for enhanced accuracy and reliability. We’re currently testing next-generation tags with advanced chipsets, improved radio frequency performance, and extended lifespan. Interest in our loyalty tag program, which features sports and collegiate logos, remains strong and has proven effective in boosting new account creation and tag adoption. We’re grateful to our agency partners for their continued support.

neoRead™

The neoRead 7204 multi-protocol RFID tag reader sets a new industry standard for quality and accuracy. Certified by OmniAir and E-ZPass interagency group (IAG), it delivers exceptional read/write performance at highway speeds and is the only U.S. RFID reader supporting all three national interoperability protocols. We appreciate the trust our integrators and agency partners have placed in both the 6204 and 7204 models.

neoClass™

Our neoClass solutions offer three options for precise toll classification: IDRIS™, overhead LiDAR, and a hybrid of both. IDRIS remains a trusted standard for axle-based classification, while LiDAR provides high-accuracy overhead detection. The hybrid approach delivers unmatched precision. We’re also advancing AI-powered video classification, which has shown strong results in both lab and live traffic environments. Thank you to our long-time customers for their continued confidence in IDRIS.

Looking Ahead

The second half of 2025 will be busy. We expect to complete testing and certification of our next-gen tags by year-end. There’s growing interest in color-coded tags for law enforcement, first responders, non-revenue, and alternative fuel vehicles. We’re also launching our new Tag Programmer—a compact, mobile device with custom software that enables agencies to test and reclassify tags with ease.

We’ll continue supporting agencies upgrading to the neoRead 7204 reader, and are excited to introduce Neology University—a 90-minute training program for engineers. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to expanding these sessions throughout the year.
